No matter the means of transportation, it is straightforward to travel in Islington City Centre West. The very good public transit access allows people to get to many destinations without needing a car. There are a multitude of rapid transit stations on the 109 | Meadowvale Express and Bloor - Danforth Line. Residents benefit from the Kipling Station with access to the Milton Line. There are approximately 30 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. This part of the city will also appeal to physically active people since it is suitable for those who travel by foot; most day-to-day needs are convenient to carry out without having to resort to a vehicle, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. It is challenging to move around by bicycle in this part of Toronto because there are quite a few elevation changes, and there are few bike lanes.


It is convenient to get to both a general and a specialty grocery store on foot from any home in this area. Likewise, there are a fair number of choices within walking distance for those who value restaurants and cafes. It is also a rather short distance to a decent choice of clothing stores. As far as education is concerned, in this neighbourhood, families will typically be able to access daycares and schools on foot.


Islington City Centre West offers a vast selection of green spaces to enjoy, despite its sometimes busy atmosphere.
